Firstly, we listed our own impressions sorting them in three categories (NOW, WOW and HOW). In the NOW category, where we are supposed to post comments about how the idea is feasible with low risk, it is said that there can be already an NGO working in this type of method. The comments in the WOW category, which shows people’s surprise at how the idea is innovative, praised the idea mentioning its potential to raise people’s awareness on social media and to increase pressure on the governments to change the legal system. In the HOW category, which throws some doubts on the idea, we found concerns about how domestic workers can have access to the application, how we can change the behaviors of employers, how we can motivate authorities to give them legal supports, and the narrow range of workers who can use this application.
Secondly, people from other groups posted their comments about our idea in the same way. Here we got only one positive comment in the WOW category saying that the NGO can serve as a mediator in solving the problem. Other comments were all in the HOW category and threw doubts about the effectiveness of our idea: they raised concerns about the internet access and how we can get support from the governments. There was one person who recommended us to make the application available in several languages.
Through this post-it activity two major weak points of our idea we have to fix were found, namely the problem of internet access and support from the governments. As to the problem of the governments’ support, like mentioned above, we can put pressure on governments to compromise through campaign on social media promoted by world celebrities. This will enable it possible to make the problem of domestic workers widely known and the solutions applicable to problems of workers in other domains or regions.
